It was good to be back at the lovely North Sydney Oval for the 2nd ODI between the Southern Stars and the White Ferns. The White Ferns had won the first match at the SCG a couple of days ago.
Jodie Fields the Southern Stars skipper won the toss and chose to put the Kiwis in to bat.

Celebrating a quick wicket
Cameron caught by Bates, bowled Ruck after a quick 30 with two 6's and four 4's
The game is getting very tight now and every wicket is priceless
Not a great view of the scoreboard
Ruck hurt her right hand saving a boundary. Luckily not her bowling hand.
She bowls on though.
Both bowlers trying hard
Southern Stars relentlessly accumulate runs
Fields also gets run out
Match slipping away for the Kiwis
Final efforts
Well done Southern Stars. The series is now levelled.
Satterthwaite gets the Player of the Match award for her 109.
It was a close match and the Southern Stars did very well to chase down the high score needed to win the match. Meg Lanning and Rachael Haynes got them off to a racing start but as wickets began to fall it became more challenging for both sides. I enjoyed the match.
